Congratulations on your new vehicle wrap from 660 Grafix & Wraps! To keep your wrap looking bold, clean, and long-lasting, it’s important to follow proper care and maintenance. A well-maintained wrap not only protects your vehicle, but also ensures your brand stands out on the road for years to come.
Below are our recommended best practices for wrap care, including cleaning instructions, maintenance tips, and products we trust.
Wait 1–2 weeks after installation before your first wash.
Hand wash is always the safest method. Use a soft sponge or microfiber cloth with non-abrasive car wash soap and lukewarm water.
If using an automatic car wash, make sure it’s touchless/brushless to prevent edges from catching and lifting.
Avoid pressure washers, especially on seams or edges. Excess pressure can lift or tear the vinyl.
Rinse thoroughly after washing to remove any residue, and gently dry with a clean microfiber towel.
No harsh chemicals or solvents. These will degrade the wrap laminate.
No abrasive scrubbing pads or rough sponges.
No waxes or polishes unless approved for vinyl wraps.
Do not use:
Engine degreasers
Kitchen or bathroom cleaners
Orange oil
Oven cleaner
Solvent-based products
Avoid long-term exposure to direct sunlight whenever possible. UV rays will gradually fade and wear the vinyl, especially on horizontal surfaces like hoods and roofs.
If available, park in a garage or shaded area.
For added UV protection, apply a vinyl-safe ceramic coating.
Clean immediately. These can stain or eat into the wrap if left too long.
Use isopropyl alcohol for spot cleaning, followed by a water rinse.
Fading, yellowing, or edge lifting on horizontal surfaces may occur after 2 years, depending on care and exposure.
If parts of your wrap appear damaged or worn, we recommend replacement of those sections to maintain a clean, professional appearance.
